Meet the Doctor
Dr. William F. Thimmel studied at Rutgers University in New Brunswick before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. In 1983, he graduated Summa Cum Laude, earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic. A former Saddle Brook graduate of the town’s school system and he was active in many civic organizations such as Unico and the Jaycees throughout the years. He has returned home to practice after 30 years in Fair Lawn.
An upstanding member of the community, Dr.Thimmel has served on the Fair Lawn Board of Education and is a former secretary and treasurer of the Fair Lawn Lions Club. He is currently a member of the Fair Lawn Cosmos Club, the Bergen County 200 Club, and the New Jersey State PBA Physician’s Association.
Dr.Thimmel had served as one of Fair Lawn’s school physicians certified in Impact testing, a standard tool used in the comprehensive clinical management of concussions for athletes of all ages. As well as an instructor for the township’s recreation department, teaching volunteer coaches Rutger’s safety course for over 28 years.
Dr. Thimmel is thoroughly committed to advancing his education to better serve his patients. He earned a post-graduate degree in chiropractic orthopedic studies from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic and sat on the Pre-Chiropractic Advisory Boards at both Fairleigh Dickinson University and Bloomfield College. Dr. Thimmel is licensed to practice in New Jersey, Illinois, and Virginia and is even certified to teach at the chiropractic college in Queensland, Australia.
He has recently become the team physician for the Tri-State Admirals a semi-pro basketball team.
